Judges discuss the power of peer coaching in webinar

The National Center for State Courts will present a webinar on “Unlocking Greatness: How Coaching Can Transform the Judiciary” Monday, June 9, from 3 to 4 p.m. via Zoom.

Judicial leaders and coaching experts will explore how peer coaching is transforming the judiciary from the inside out.  This session will highlight success stories from judges in three different jurisdictions who have experienced the power of peer coaching firsthand.  Attendees will discover how peer coaching creates a confidential, collaborative space where judges can support one another, cultivate reflection and growth, and reduce the sense of isolation that is so often experienced by judicial officers.

Speaking at the webinar will be:

• Judge Charles Clay III, Superior Court of Los Angeles County, Calif.

• Judge Natalie Damgaard, Second Judicial Circuit, South Dakota Unified Judicial System

• Judge Jeffrey Smith, Spokane County (Wash.) District Court, and past president, District & Municipal Court Judges' Association
