Regulating home occupations post-pandemic discussed online

Oakland County Planning, Zoning, and Land Use will conduct a Virtual Planners Gathering on “Regulating Home Occupations Post-Pandemic” Tuesday, July 15, from 10 to 11 a.m. via Zoom.

Work from home became the norm for many people during the Covid-19 pandemic. However, prior to that, home occupations were not all that common and were specifically regulated.

This online conversation will take at look at how Oakland County communities are regulating home occupations today.

Speaking at the program will be:

• Caitlyn Habben, professional planner, Wade Trim

• Liz Sackley, code enforcement officer and rental inspector, City of Ferndale

Anyone with questions should contact Jim Schafer at schaferj@oakgov.com or 248-858-2033.
