Awards, scholarships presented
The Incorporated Society of Irish American Lawyers conducted its Annual Scholarship and Awards Dinner on Wednesday, June 25, at Sindbad’s Restaurant and Marina in Detroit. During the evening, retired Judge Timothy M. Kenny (third form right) was honored with the ISIAL Charles R. Rutherford Jr. Award and an ISIAL Educational Fund Scholarship was presented to Jessica Miletic Morris (second from right). Happy to congratulate the honorees were (left to right) State Bar of Michigan President Joseph McGill of Foley, Baron, Metzger, & Juip PLLC; ISIAL Scholarship Committee member Meghan Kennedy Riordan of Kitch Attorneys & Counselors; Padraig Manning, vice consul general of Ireland to the Midwestern U.S.; ISIAL President Jennifer Cupples of Jennifer A. Cupples PLLC; and ISIAL Scholarship Committee member Fran Murphy of Fran Murphy Law PLC. Also during the event, the ISIAL Judge Thomas “Tiger” Thornton Award was presented to U.S. District Court Chief Judge Sean F. Cox (not pictured), Eastern District of Michigan.
