Health and Housing Summer Fest hosted August 5

The Oakland County 2025 Health and Housing Summer Fest will be on Tuesday, August 5, from 11 a.m. to 2 p.m. at Normandy Oaks Park, 4234 Delemere Blvd. in Royal Oak.

The event features free food, music and fun activities for kids to enjoy while connecting with health, breastfeeding and housing resources. 

Residents will be able to enjoy:

• Bounce house, splash pad and playground

• Backpack giveaway and raffles

• Free vision screenings, exams and glasses through Vision to Learn (for those 4 to 21 years old while supplies last)

• Free hearing screenings and a basic ear exam from the University of Michigan

• Free dental screenings for children entering Kindergarten

• Free haircuts for children courtesy of Dorsey Beauty School

• Free manicures for girls courtesy of Dorsey Beauty School

• Vaccine clinic for youth and adults

• Enroll in free health programs like WIC, Nutrition and home-visiting nursing

• Speak with International Board Certified Lactation Consultants (IBCLCs) and WIC Breastfeeding Peers
