‘Family Mediation Program’ offered online August 26 by ADR Section

As part of its Annual Conference this year, the Alternative Dispute Resolution Section of the State Bar of Michigan will conduct a separate virtual Family Mediation Program on Tuesday, August 26, from 8:30 a.m. to 3 p.m.

Speaking at the program will be:

• Zena Zumeta, Mediation Training & Consultation Institute—“Pre-Mediation Meetings in Divorce Mediation”

• David C. Sarnacki, The Sarnacki Law Firm PLC, and Michelle F. Gallagher—“Mediating Divorce Cases Involving Business Owners: Navigating Complex Asset Division Under Michigan Law”

• Julia Griffiths, Griffiths & Willing Law, and Andrea Banfield, Banfield Couling Law & Mediation PLLC—“Incorporating Mediation into the Filing of a Joint Petitions for Divorce”

• Sarah Nissel and Yona Elishis, Pepperdine University School of Law—“Faith-based Divorce Mediation in Orthodox Judaism”

Following the four presentations, faculty and participants will have an opportunity for conversation and networking.
