‘Special Assessments’ focus of Virtual Planners Gathering

Oakland County Planning, Zoning, and Land Use will conduct a Virtual Planners Gathering on “Special Assessments” Wednesday, August 27, from 10 to 11 a.m. via Zoom.

Special Assessments are a financing mechanism that can be used by local governments to fund needed sidewalks, roads, and utilities. This discussion will look at how Bloomfield Township uses special assessments for their infrastructure improvements. 

Speaking at the program will be:

• Jennifer Werthman, deputy assessor, Bloomfield Township 

• Corey Almas, director of Engineering & Environmental Services, Bloomfield Township
