Oakland Mediation Center (OMC), an Oakland County mediation and conflict resolution training facility, invites legal professionals to participate in its In-person 8-Hour Advanced Mediation Trainings in 2025.
Both novice and experienced mediators recognize that every case brings new challenges. Every dispute is unique and should cause the mediator to stretch their mind and dig deep into their toolbox of skills. OMC offers advanced training to individuals who wish to enhance their mediator skill set and who need to meet the circuit court aroster requirements of advanced mediation training.
“OMC has been dedicated to providing quality mediation training for over 36 years,” said Charity Burke, OMC executive director. “Our training is designed to give participants, from all backgrounds, skills they can use immediately to serve and make a lasting impact on our community.”
The upcoming 8-hour training will take place Wednesday, September 24, from 8:30 a.m. to 5 p.m. at the OMC office in Auburn Hills. The cost of training is $295.
Participants will build on the elements of communication, problem-solving, and facilitation skills that are used in both group mediations and meetings. Upon completion of training, participants will receive a certificate of attendance.
OMC’s training courses are approved by SCAO and are designed to be highly interactive, and skill based. For information about this training and others, contact Jennifer Lintol, education coordinator at 248-338-4280, ext. 222 or Jlintol@mediation-omc.org.
