The Women’s Bar Association (WBA), Oakland County region of the Women Lawyers Association of Michigan, will present its next Literary Ladies Book Club online Tuesday, October 7, at 6 p.m. via Zoom.
For the October meeting, the club will be discussing Colleen Hoover’s “Verity,” a hit book now being turned into a movie. “Verity” is a 2018 psychological thriller novel about a struggling writer who takes on a life-changing job offer. Lowen Ashleigh is hired by Jeremy Crawford to finish his wife Verity’s bestselling thriller series after a mysterious accident leaves her incapacitated. Ashleigh moves into the Crawford home and discovers a secret manuscript containing shocking confessions about the family’s past.
