Macomb County Prosecutor Peter J. Lucido announced that Tayassukh Ayman, a 22-year-old Warren man, was sentenced on charges related to a February 25, 2025 car crash which resulted in the death of 53-year-old Mohammed Ali, also of Warren.
On Wednesday, Oct. 1, 2025, Macomb County Circuit Court Judge Julie Gatti sentenced Ayman to serve 364 days in the Macomb County Jail, followed by two years of probation. He had pleaded guilty on August 6, 2025 to the charges of Moving Violation Causing Death and Moving Violation Causing Serious Impairment of a Body Function.
The charges arose after an accident in February 2025 when the vehicle Ayman was driving struck a 2013 Honda Accord driven by Shahjahan Tamim. It is alleged that Ayman was speeding when Tamim’s vehicle turned in front of Ayman. Ayman could not stop and the vehicles collided. Ali was killed and passenger Sanjina Mumu was seriously injured.
“The tragedy in this case serves as a stark reminder of the serious responsibilities every driver carries. Even a single lapse in judgment on the road can have irreversible consequences. Our office continues to urge all drivers to exercise care and follow the rules of the road. We hope that the awareness raised by this case will prevent similar tragedies in the future,” stated Macomb County Prosecutor Peter J. Lucido.
