Obituary: Michael Lieberman

Michael Lieberman, 65, of West Bloomfield, died on October 20. 

Lieberman earned his undergraduate degree from the University of Michigan and later received his law degree from Detroit College of Law.

He practiced law for more than 35 years, focusing on bankruptcy, insolvency, and creditors' rights. Throughout his career, he handled hundreds of cases, co-authored articles for the Michigan Bar Journal, and spoke at numerous seminars on bankruptcy-related topics.

Lieberman is survived by his wife of 41 years of Lori Lieberman; children Andy (Nora) Lieberman, Marni (Josh) Glowacki, and Alana (Matthew) Rosteck; grandchildren Winnie Lieberman and Eliana Glowacki; siblings Sharon Firsht, Scott (Ann Schwentker) Shy, and Faye (Marc) Scher; and sister-in-law of Faith (Howard) Winter.

Funeral services were conducted by the Ira Kaufman Chapel on Thursday, October 23.  The family suggests that those who wish to further honor the memory of Michael Lieberman may do so by making a contribution to the American Heart Association, Friendship Circle -Warren Wolfe Memorial Fund, or Miracle League of Michigan.
