Lakeshore Legal Aid is honored to receive $60,500 in grant funding from the Oakland County Bar Foundation, strengthening access to justice for families living with low income and older adults across the county.
The grants will support two essential projects:
• Family Law Assistance Project (FLAP): FLAP ensures families living with low income can navigate difficult family law matters, such as divorce, custody, child support, and parenting time, with free legal support during some of life’s most challenging moments.
• Estate Planning Clinic (EPC): EPC provides older adults with free legal assistance to protect their wishes and ensure stability through wills, medical powers of attorney, and other vital documents.
With this support, Lakeshore will help hundreds of residents secure safety, stability, and peace of mind. The grants also advance the Oakland County Bar Foundation’s mission to ensure that legal services are available to all community members who need them.
For details about FLAP or EPC, contact 248-530-9330, ext. 1702. Clinic schedules for FLAP are available on the Michigan Legal Help Clinics and Events webpage at https://michiganlegalhelp.org/legal-clinics-and-events.
