Mount Clemens woman pleads no contest to distributing child sexually abusive material

Macomb County Prosecutor Peter J. Lucido announced that Jasmine Rix, a 30-year-old Mount Clemens woman, pleaded no contest last Thursday to multiple counts of distributing child sexually abusive material.

In early March 2025, the Macomb County Sheriff’s Office launched an investigation into Rix after receiving a tip from the National Center for Missing and Exploited Children (NCMEC). Investigators determined that in February 2025, Rix used her computer to share child sexually abusive material.

On Thursday, March 12, at a Pretrial Conference before Macomb County Circuit Court Judge Michael E. Servitto, Rix pled no contest to three counts of Distributing – Child Sexually Abusive Material. All three counts are 7-year felonies. Rix will be sentenced before Judge Servitto on Thursday, May 7, at 8:30 a.m. Assistant Prosecuting Attorney Justin Pollard represented the People at this hearing.

As part of her sentence, Rix will be required to register as a Tier II Sex Offender, which mandates 25 years of registration. She is also subject to registration under Wyatt’s Law, which is a database of individuals who are convicted of criminal offenses related to children. She will also forfeit all devices that were used to commit the offenses.

"Any case involving the possession or distribution of child sexually abusive material is deeply disturbing. Such behavior continues the cycle of abuse of innocent children. We are committed to thoroughly prosecuting such offenses to protect vulnerable children and hold offenders fully accountable under the law," stated Lucido.
