The list of those who passed the February bar exam has been posted by the State Board of Law Examiners and is available on the Board’s website, www.courts.michigan.gov/administration/committees-boards/board-of-law-examiners.
Admission ceremonies have been planned and include the following:
• The Oakland County Bar Association will host the spring 2026 New Lawyers Admissions Ceremony with the Oakland County Circuit and Probate Courts for the February bar passers on Friday, May 15, from 11 a.m. to noon in the Commissioners Auditorium at the Oakland County Courthouse, 1200 N. Telegraph in Pontiac. This event will be led by Oakland County Circuit Court Chief Judge Jeffery Matis and other judges sitting en banc. To register, visit www.ocba.org and click on “events.”
• The Macomb County Bar Association will conduct its new lawyer admission ceremony on Thursday, May 14, at 4 p.m. at the Macomb County Courthouse 3rd floor courtroom of 16th Circuit Court Chief Judge James Biernat Jr., 40 N. Main in Mt. Clemens. Participants are asked to check in by 3:30 p.m. Law school graduates who passed the bar exam and wish to register for the admission ceremony should contact Maddie Bennage at mbennage@macombbar.org or 586-468-2940, or visit awww.macombbar.org and click on “events.”
• The Detroit Bar Association/Third Judicial Circuit of Michigan New Lawyer Admission Ceremony will take place Wednesday, June 3, from 12:30 to 2 p.m. at the Coleman A. Young Municipal Center 13th Floor Auditorium, 2 Woodward in Detroit. All new attorneys who plan to take the oath at this ceremony must register online at www.detroitlawyer.org/admissions-ceremony.
