On April 28, Oakland County Circuit Court Judges Lisa Gorcyca, Julie McDonald, Lorie Savin, and Tricia Dare selected the winning sticker designs for the court’s Semiquincentennial “Liberty and Justice for All” jury service sticker contest. The following entries will be made into jury service stickers:

• Parker Schornak, 3rd Grade, Oxford Elementary
• Tess Nowacki, 7th Grade, Oxford Middle
• Vanessa Nolan, 11th Grade, Waterford Kettering High

Of the 190 entries, twelve designs were selected by court staff and advanced to the final round of selection by four of the court’s family division judges. The finalists were students from the Berkley, Clarkston, Holly, Novi, Oxford, and Waterford School Districts, as well as Notre Dame Prep.

The three winners and nine finalists and their families will be invited to a ceremony in the jury assembly room on June 1 to acknowledge their participation in the court’s contest highlighting the importance of juror service in America’s democracy.
