Book launch
As America approaches its 250th birthday this summer, Oakland County Circuit Court Judge Michael Warren recently held a launch party for his new book, “The Revolutionary Words That Forged America: The Definitive Guide to the Declaration of Independence.” The book offers a line-by-line analysis of the Declaration document, including its often overlooked 28 grievances, according to Warren, who recently announced his candidacy for a seat on the Michigan Supreme Court. A former member of the Michigan State Board of Education, Warren has served on the Oakland Circuit Court since 2002. In 2009, he co-founded Patriot Week with his then 10-year-old daughter, Leah, in a civics initiative that has since been recognized by the U.S. Senate. His book has received glowing reviews from Stephen Markman, retired chief justice of the Michigan Supreme Court, who praised it as “both magisterial and accessible; timely and enduring.” Ingrid Jacques of USA Today calls it “a must-read for every American.”
