McDonald launches Common Sense Coalition PAC to elect candidates with integrity and courage

On Tuesday, Karen McDonald, the Oakland County Prosecutor who has defined her career by fighting for families and kids, announced the launch of the Common Sense Coalition PAC, an organization that will support candidates and causes who lead with integrity, put people above politics and, most importantly, govern with courage and common sense.

“Like many of you, I’m frustrated with the state of our politics – a system that increasingly rewards theatrics, purity tests, and extremism instead of integrity, service, and results. I have always been drawn to where I can do the most good, and I can see the work that needs to be done,” said McDonald. “That’s why I started the Common Sense Coalition PAC – to support leaders who step forward with courage and integrity, make room for everyone, and take the time to meet people where they are.”

The Common Sense Coalition PAC will support candidates who are ready to serve Michiganders each and every day. Voters are ready for leaders who put reason over noise, candidates who believe compromise is not weakness, and advocates who put people above party and politics. Those are the type of candidates and causes that the Common Sense Coalition PAC will lift up.

This new PAC gives people tired of extremism and noise a new way forward – one full of leaders who treat everyone with dignity and think independently regardless of what the loudest partisan voices demand.
