Career conversations
The Eastern District of Michigan Bar Association presented its fourth event in its Women’s Series with “Having it All (or not): The Elusive Work-Life Balance Conundrum” on Thursday, May 28, at the offices of Warner Norcross + Judd in Detroit. The professional and personal demands on women lawyers are at an all-time high, and so achieving some sort of balance is no longer just an advantage—it is a necessity for a sustainable career. This program featured a diverse group of peers discussing the “conundrum” of balancing a legal practice with family, fitness, travel, and personal well-being. On hand to share thoughts and insights were (left to right) Maggie Smith, Ashley Racette, Margaret Debler, Andrea Forsyth, Susan Fairchild, Bridget Carr, retired Justice Maura Corrigan, Jennifer Beidel, Nancy Diehl, Jennifer Salvatore, and Joan Campau.
