The Michigan Judicial Institute will present the webinar “PSC Best Practice Series: Community Supervision in Treatment Courts” hosted by Problem-Solving Courts (PSC) on Thursday, August 27, from noon to 1:15 p.m. via Zoom.
The All Rise best practice standard on community supervision provides detailed guidance for monitoring and supporting participants with a focus on the high-risk/high-need target population of treatment courts. In this session, Carolyn Hardin, All Rise’s chief of training and research, will walk attendees through the community supervision standard and highlight critical elements of supervision that have been missing from many programs. During this session attendees will:
• Learn best practices for monitoring treatment court participants in the community, with emphasis on high-risk/high-need individuals.
• Learn the importance of risk-need-responsivity assessment, core correctional practices, and other evidence-based practices for monitoring treatment court participants.
• Highlight common ground between APPA’s National Standards for Community Supervision and All Rise’s standard on community supervision
