Attorney discusses starting, sustaining a solo practice

The Law Practice Management and Legal Administrators Section of the State Bar of Michigan will present the webinar “Starting, Surviving and Sustaining Your Own Practice with Barry Brickner” on Thursday, September 10, from noon to 1 p.m. via Zoom.

Brickner has been a licensed attorney in the State of Michigan for fifty years. He has authored many articles on law office management and other legal subjects, including an article published in 1997 in the ABA Law Practice Management Journal, “Being Solo and Other Ravings of a Lunatic.” This article provides the reader with a road map and brief overview of the business aspects of practicing law.

Brickner has been in solo practice for more than 45 years in Farmington Hills, where he focuses primarily on real estate and business matters. He is also an active member of his community and has served on the City Council and as mayor of Farmington Hills.
