September is National Senior Center Month, and Bloomfield Township Senior Services (BTSS) would like to remind everyone about the valuable programs and services that they offer year-round. It is an ideal time to connect with peers and engage in vibrant community programs designed for older adults.
Connections, purpose, support, and community—every day, people walk through the doors and find exactly that: friendships that matter, programs that energize, and resources that make each year stronger than the last.
A few highlights for this September include:
• Senior Resource Fair on September 16, with valuable resources and services on display with numerous local representatives.
• The first in a three-part series called Presidential Greatness kicks off with a discussion of George Washington on September 22.
• Stand Up Comedy Show on September 25, courtesy of Senior Comedy Community.
Additionally, the supportive services offered by BTSS are fundamental in assisting older residents remain in their homes and community. They offer home delivered meals, minor home repair, friendly callers, information, transportation to the center & medical appointments.
