The National Center for State Courts will present the webinar “A Closer Look: Court Visitor Programs Making a Difference in Adult Guardianship” on Wednesday, September 30, from noon to 1:30 p.m.
Court visitor programs play a vital role in adult guardianship proceedings and ongoing guardianship oversight. By gathering independent information, meeting with individuals subject to guardianship, and providing courts with objective assessments, court visitors help ensure that judicial decisions and monitoring efforts are informed, person-centered, and responsive to individual needs.
This webinar will highlight three innovative court visitor programs and their impact on adult guardianship systems. Presenters will discuss program design and operation, successes and lessons learned, and offer advice for jurisdictions interested in developing court visitor programs. Participants will gain practical insights into how these programs can enhance court oversight, protect individual rights, and improve outcomes for adults involved in guardianship cases.
