The State Appellate Defender Office and the Criminal Defense Resource Center will present the webinar “Using the Michigan Constitution in Criminal Cases” on Tuesday, October 20, from noon to 1:30 p.m. via Zoom.  

This training will discuss how to best use the Michigan Constitution to secure broader protections for clients.

Speaking at the webinar will be Jason Eggert, a research and training attorney in SADO’s Criminal Defense Resource Center.  He served an assistant defender at SADO from 
2016-2025. He is the principal author of the “Defender Guide to Search & Seizure in Michigan” (2026).
