The Women’s Bar Association (WBA), Oakland County region of the Women Lawyers Association of Michigan, will present  its first meeting of its Literary Ladies Book club for the 2026-2027 season online Tuesday, October 13, from 6 to 8 p.m. via Zoom.

To celebrate Hispanic Heritage Month and kick off the autumnal and October season, the group will be reading and discussing “The Bewitching” by Silvia Moreno-Garcia. In the book, three women in three different eras encounter danger and witchcraft in this horror saga from the New York Times bestselling author of Mexican Gothic.

Those unable to finish the book are welcome to join for a fun conversation and opportunity to discuss other books the organization may want to read in the future.

Anyone interested in attending this event, or joining the Literary Ladies for the monthly Book Club in the future, should email Natasha Rao at natasha-rao@hotmail.com.
