The National Association for Public Defense (NAPD) will present the webinar “Record Review and Telling the Story of Child Trauma” on Monday, November 16, from 1 to 2 p.m.
Even when clients are cooperating to the best of their ability, their reports of trauma are often incomplete. Repression, suppression, and avoidance are all common trauma responses. And in cases of chronic exposure, familiarity may even hinder recognition. Records from a variety of sources can provide insight into abuse and/or neglect from family systems and institutions, helping to construct a fuller picture of a client’s critical formative years.
Cost for the webinar is $50. To register, visit https://thenapd.org/events.
