The Women Lawyers Association of Michigan Foundation (WLAMF) celebrated an awards reception on Thursday, April 15, at the Detroit Golf Club. During the reception Michigan Supreme Court Chief Justice Marilyn J. Kelly received the Women Lawyers Association of Michigan Foundation's Legacy Award. Kelly is not only a former president of WLAM, she has supported and inspired countless women in their legal careers. Also at the event, WLAMF President Dawn Van Hoek (center) thanked sponsors (left to right) Dana Warnez and Florence Schoenherr-Warnez, daughter and mother attorneys from Schoenherr, Cahill, & Warnez PC, for the Kim Cahill Scholarship Award given in memory of their beloved sister/daughter and partner, Kim Cahill, a former State Bar of Michigan president.
