The Oakland County Bar Association (OCBA) Juvenile Law Committee presented "Representing the Children: Roles and Responsibilities of a Juvenile GAL" on Friday, Oct. 7, at the Oakland County Bar Center in Bloomfield Hills.
Speakers for the event included (seated, left to right) Elliot Parnes of H. Elliot Parnes PLLC; Lauren Howard, chief of Adopotion and Juvenile Support Services at Oakland County Circuit Court; and Oakland County Probate Court Chief Judge Linda Hallmark; along with (standing, left to right) Christine Piatkowski of Christine Piatkowski PLC; Ryan Deel, judicial staff attorney for Judge Hallmark, moderator; and Melinda Deel of Melinda N. Deel PLLC.
"We'll be discussing represetation of children in child protective proceedings," Ryan Deel said.
