At the Thursday, Jan. 19, Oakland County Board of Commissioners meeting, Commissioners Gary McGillivray (far left), Beth Nuccio (second from right), and Kathy S. Crawford (far right) honored Oakland Livington Human Service Agency’s Walk for Warmth event with a proclamation that was presented to (left to right) OLHSA Director for Communications Adela Piper, OLHSA CEO Ron Borngesser, and Linda Zabik of Genysis Credit Union, a sponsor for the 2012 Walk for Warmth.

Walk for Warmth is an annual fundraising event that has raised money for OLHSA’s Emergency Utilities Assistance Fund to help those in need with utility bills. Since its inception in 1990, more than $850,000 has been raised to help provide heating assistance and keep area residents safe.

This year’s event will be conducted at Great Lakes Crossing Outlets on Saturday, Feb. 11. For additional information, visit www.olhsa.org/walkforwarmth.
