Seminar to help young lawyers to jump start their career, April 19
The Young Lawyers Section of the State Bar of Michigan will present "Jump Start Your Career" on Thursday, April 19, starting at 5:45 p.m. at the Skyline Club in Southfield.
The Young Lawyers Section (YLS) is hosting this seminar to make attorneys' careers the best that it can be. It will feature tips and advice from Michigan experts on topics including:
* Getting ahead at your work--thriving, not just surviving.
* Starting your own practice--making it in your own practice.
* Entering the field of law--boldly navigating your first steps.
* Other things with a JD--alternative careers.
* Switching things up--either leaving your firm to start new or leaving your area of practice for a better one for you.
Featured presenters include:
--Tim Dinan, Dinan & Associates, solo practitioner career coach, U of D Mercy Law and MSU Law adjunct professor.
--Lori Williams of Your Legal Resource, lawyer and career coach.
--Dan Dalton, founding member of Dalton & Tomich, "Super Lawyer."
--Audrey Mistor of Monroe Bank & Trust.
This seminar is presented without cost to attendees. Although walk-ins are welcome, those planning on attending are asked to register with seminar moderator Jennifer M. Harvey by Tuesday, April 17, at jharvey@harveylegalgroup.com to help YLS best plan to accommodate its participants.
