The law firm of Warner, Norcross, & Judd LLP will offer a half-day human resources and benefits executive panel on Tuesday, Oct. 15, in Birmingham.
The sessions will focus on labor and employee benefits topics, featuring panel discussions led by experienced Warner Norcross attorneys at the Townsend Hotel, 100 Townsend Street in Birmingham. The summit begins with registration and a continental breakfast at 8:30 a.m., wrapping up with a networking lunch that ends at 1 p.m.
Three panel discussions will cover a variety of timely HR and benefits issues, giving attendees the opportunity to ask questions and interact with Warner attorneys. The discussions will focus on:

* Implications from the Defense of Marriage Act.
* Labor and employment rulings and trends, including FLSA, NLRB and ADA.
* Health care reform update, including the latest on the individual mandate, employer responsibility requirements and the health insurance marketplace.
* Fiduciary issues to consider when hiring investment consultants.
