Cyber security among topics for Medical Main Street INNO-VENTION
How health care providers protect electronic medical records from unwanted Internet attacks is one of a host of important topics being discussed at INNO-VENTION 2013--a Medical Main Street Conference.
The conference, set for Nov. 6-8 at the Troy Marriott Hotel, focuses on how information technology is fueling changes in health care and its impact on the next generation of medical devices. Subra Sripada, executive vice president and chief administrative and information officer of Beaumont Health System, will discuss cyber security during the conference.
Rick Valencia, the founder and general manager of Qualcomm Life, a wholly-owned subsidiary of Qualcomm Inc., is the conference keynote speaker and will be discussing mobile technology and the future of health care.
Other topics include:
* Health Care Informatics - Turning Raw Data into Useful Information: featured speakers are Stanford University professor Bassam Kadry; St. Joseph Mercy Oakland President Jack Weiner; and Mohan Tanniru, Oakland University professor of Management Information Systems.
* mHealth 101: Clearing the Fog on the mHealth Landscape - Why mobile technology will define the future of health care.
* mHealth Wish List - A Medical Practitioner's Perspective, which focuses on key challenges using wireless technology in the hospital and office.
Medical Main Street was created under the leadership of Oakland County Executive L. Brooks Patterson.
