Wayne State University Law School hosted 11th and 12th grade students from Pershing High School on Wednesday, March 11, for the annual Law School Admission Council Discover Law Day.  Happy to welcome the students to the Wayne Law campus in Detroit was Felicia M. Thomas (at right), director of Student Affairs &?Diversity Initiatives.  Discover Law is a campaign geared toward increasing diversity in the legal profession (discoverlaw.org).  Wayne Law was among only ten law schools in the country recognized for its diversity outreach for Discover Law (2010 and 2013).  Pershing, an Education Achievement Authority school, partnered with Educurious (educurious.org) to prepare a mock trial based on Sherlock Holmes.  The students visited to learn more about Discover Law and pursuing a legal education.  They also toured the campus and the law school and participated in a sentencing exercise.
