The Oakland County Bar Association’s Debtor/Creditor Committee will present a seminar titled “Student Loans and You—A Guide to Managing Your Education Debt” on Thursday, Oct. 29, from noon to 1 p.m. at the Oakland County Bar Center, 1760 S. Telegraph Rd., Suite 100, in Bloomfield Hills.
The seminar will educate attendees about the “ins and outs” of student loan administration, repayment, collection, and eligibility. Participants will get a brief history of student loans, and they will learn about the different types of student loans, the various repayment options, and the payment postponement alternatives. Speaking at the program will be Erik C. Stein of Gallagher Sharp.
Pre-registration cost is $25 for OCBA members, $20 for OCBA new lawyers (P73649+), and $40 non-members. Cost at the door is $40 for OCBA members and $50 for non-members. Register online at www.ocba.org.
