The State Bar of Michigan Children’s Law Section will present “Put Your Best Defense Forward — A Primer For Juvenile Court Trial Work”
This trial practice conference will be held from 8:30 a.m. to 4:30 p.m. on Friday, Dec. 2, at DoubleTree by Hilton Hotel Detroit, 42100 Crescent Blvd. in Novi. It will focus on tips and strategies to address the unique issues that arise in defending child welfare and juvenile delinquency cases.
Participants will have the opportunity to ask questions and offer input regarding ways to address cases moving through the court system. The agenda includes presentations on Preliminary Hearings and Pretrial Issues; Adjudication and Termination; Plea Negotiations and Delinquency Trials; Dispositional Hearings, Review Hearings and Permanency Planning; Appeals; and Case Law Update.
