Bench/Bar Conference planned for March 1

The Oakland County Bar Association will hosts the biennial Circuit-Probate Court Bench/Bar Conference on Friday, March 1, from 8 a.m. to 1 p.m. at Somerset Inn, 2601 W. Big Beaver Rd. in Troy.

The conference, titled “Rude Awakenings: Overcoming the Professionalism, Civility, and Work/Life Balance Crises,” provides judges and attorneys the opportunity to interact outside the courtroom in an informal, solution-oriented environment. Attendees will gain insights to enhance legal practices and build congeniality between the bench and the bar.

State Court Administrator Milton L. Mack Jr. will deliver the keynote address on “The Future of Trial Courts.  There will also be two sessions to the conference.

Session A:

• Civil
  “Whose Fault Is It Anyway? Avoiding a Legal Malpractice Claim” with Edward G. Lennon of Lennon Law PLLC

  “Avoid the Client Crisis: Manage Expectations” with Raymond A. Correll of Law Offices of Raymond A. Correll PC; Judith S. Gracey of The Gracey Law Firm; Neil S. Rockind of Rockind Law; Layne A.
