The State Bar of Michigan’s Practice Management Resource Center (PMRC) will host the virtual seminar “How to Run a Lean Law Firm,” featuring Larry Port, CEO of Rocket Matter, and Dave Maxfield, consumer law attorney for Consumer Law SC.
On Wednesday, October 27, this virtual seminar will provide attendees with simple ways to transform their firm and increase revenues using Lean management techniques, a methodology pioneered by Toyota.
The virtual seminar will:
• Identify how waste within Lean management can plague your organization.
• Discover the relationship between waste reduction and revenue optimization.
• Identify waste within your own law firm so you can get rid of it.
• Learn how to boost productivity and revenue by spending less time per case.
Port is the founder and CEO of?Rocket Matter, the pioneering cloud-based legal practice management software. His is the co-author of?“The?Lean?Law Firm: Run Your Firm Like the World’s Most Profitable and Efficient Businesses,” published by the American Bar Association. Port frequently discusses design and efficiency as well as quality techniques in the software industry that can be leveraged by lawyers and other legal professionals.
Maxfield runs a consumer protection practice in Columbia, South Carolina. He’s the three-time chair of the Consumer Law Section of the South Carolina Bar and past president of the Richland County Bar. He has represented thousands in cases against banks, credit reporting agencies, and insurance companies. Besides co-hosting “The Lean Law Firm” podcast, Maxfield consults with law firms to help transform their practices through lean methods and consults with tech providers to make products more useful for lawyers. In 2018, with co-author Port, he wrote the ABA book, “The Lean Law Firm.”
