Michigan Attorney General Dana Nessel was honored Monday with the Children’s Advocacy Centers of Michigan (CACMI) “Champion of Justice Award.”
Nessel was unable to attend in person, but provided a statement to the agency on the recognition:
“The soul of CACMI’s work is making sure children are heard and believed. That makes receiving this Champion of Justice Award all the more special because it means you see me as a partner in your efforts to protect children and help them heal. I humbly accept this award as an acknowledgement of my efforts on behalf of Michigan’s children and I pledge to continue to be an advocate for our kids."
