Care House of Macomb County recently presented its 18th Annual “Fools for Kids” fundraiser at Andiamo Celebrity Showroom in Warren. Among those enjoying the festivities were (left to right) Ed Greenup, a member of the Care House board; Dorie Vazquez-Nolan, Care House executive director; and John Kinch, a board member. The event included a ceremony during which the organization’s Champion for Children award was presented to Macomb County Public Works Commissioner Anthony Marrocco and Macomb County Sheriff Anthony Wickersham. Care House coordinates the investigation and treatment of child abuse. Since opening in 1996, the organization has conducted more than 4,500 forensic interviews of children and provided services to more than 6,800 families.
