Providing legal help

Legal Aid and Defender Association Inc. (LAD) recently conducted a free outreach clinic on civil legal services for income-eligible residents of Macomb, Oakland and Wayne counties at Oakland Livingston Human Services Agency (OLHSA) in Pontiac. Ready to provide legal help at the clinic was LAD’s Robert Santiago (pictured). He said he was hoping to help people if they had a landlord-tenant dispute or possible questions regarding consumer contracts, “something we can just look over quickly and maybe provide some brief advice or, if needed, maybe direct representation,” Santiago said.  LAD is the largest provider of free civil legal services to low-income residents of Michigan.
