The young lawyers section of the Macomb County bar association held a reception recently at Villa Penna in Sterling Heights to honor new Circuit Court Judge Julie Gatti (center). Among those on hand to extend a warm welcome were (from left): Aaron J. Hall, YLS director; Laura Polizzi, YLS treasurer; Sherman Abdo, YLS secretary; and William Barnwell, YLS director. Gatti was elected to the bench in November. Prior to her election, she was in private practice, specializing in family law. She is a 1995 graduate of Wayne State University Law School and a former president of the Macomb County Bar Association.
