COUNSELOR'S CORNER: Christmas 2013
By Fred Cavaiani
Bringing gifts with open hearts
Buying gifts with generosity
Forgiving everyone and letting go
Holding nothing against anyone
Listening carefully without condemnation
Smiling with genuine warmth towards others
There is sacredness in everything and everyone
Returning to childhood wonder
New realization that Joy comes from Love
Patiently letting others open their gifts
Connecting hearts with compassion and concern
Giving to those less fortunate
Becoming quiet to listen to God speaking
Believing and looking for the kindness all around us
Knowing that God is always among us and with us
In my weakness something powerful happens - peace and love and joy
Letting go of my way and learning Your Way
Letting the castle of my ego become a humble stable of ego
Welcoming everyone to the table
Forgetting me and discovering you
Focusing on children with open hearts and minds
Paying attention to everyone and everything
Total attentiveness to those around us
Shutting off electronic devices and paying close attention to others
Gratitude for the kindness and generosity of others
Giving without expectations of affirmation
Jumping with joy with the children's excitement
Treasuring long lasting friendships
Embracing the love and beauty in each moment
Letting go of judgmental attitudes to bring peace to all men and women of good will
