Two arrested after judge spots own stolen bike
LANSING (AP) - Two juveniles have been arrested after an Ingham County judge spotted one of them pedaling around on his stolen bicycle.
Police tell the Lansing State Journal for a story last Friday that 54A District Court Judge Frank DeLuca was riding to lunch last Thursday with fellow judges Charles Filice and Patrick Cherry when he saw the bike that was swiped from his home.
Lansing police spokesman Robert Merritt says "some distinguishing items" on the bike helped DeLuca recognize it as his own. The bike was stolen last Monday.
The judges called police who made the arrests and recovered the bike.
