The Michigan Intellectual Property Law Association (MIPLA) will host a virtual event on Tuesday, March 15, from 11:45 a.m. to 1:15 p.m. Speaker Rick Hoffmann, of Reising Ethington, will discuss “Nuts and Bolts of Trademark Litigation Practice.”
Hoffmann has experience in IP litigation. He has been the lead counsel in more than 100 IP litigation matters in federal courts and has argued more than a dozen cases in front of federal courts of appeals. He has litigated on behalf of a diverse range of clients, from individuals to Fortune 500 companies. Hoffmann received his Bachelor of Science in
Chemical Engineering from Michigan Technological University. He graduated from the Detroit College of Law (now Michigan State University College of Law). Hoffmann has also served as president of the Saginaw Valley Patent Law Association and as a council member to the Intellectual Property Law section of the State Bar of Michigan.
