Wayne State University and University of Detroit Mercy's National Lawyers Guild Chapters present an open seminar to the legal community regarding immigrant rights and advocacy during an increasingly violent presidential administration.
“Building Sanctuaries and Melting Ice: Lessons on Immigrant Rights” will take place Wednesday, March 19, from 6 to 8 p.m. at Wayne Law’s Partrich Auditorium, 471 West Palmer in Detroit.
Among speakers from MIRC and other immigrant advocacy organizations, attendees will be informed of the current state of immigrant rights in the U.S., challenges that immigrants are currently facing with law enforcement, and ways to support immigrants in communities.
There is no charge for the seminar but registration is requested for catering purposes. To register, visit https://law.wayne.edu and scroll down to “events.”
