Jerome B. Greenbaum, 88, passed away on November 13.
Greenbaum graduated from Central High in Detroit in 1955, the University of Michigan in 1958, and the University of Michigan Law School in 1961. He practiced law for 55 years. When he first started out, he happily joined his father in the practice of law at Greenbaum and Greenbaum.
When his father died, Greenbaum became an assistant United States attorney. He reinstated Greenbaum and Greenbaum when his wife Judy passed the bar. They practiced together until 2002 when he joined Williams, Williams, Rattner, and Plunkett.
Greenbaum loved the law, advocating for his clients and being a lawyer. He trained scores of young law students; many of whom became very well-regarded attorneys and some of whom have already retired.
Greenbaum is survived by Judith, his wife of 53 years; their daughter, Julie; nephews, nieces, great-nephews, and nieces; as well as his great-great-niece, Maisie.
Funeral services were conducted by the Ira Kaufman Chapel on Friday, November 14. A future memorial service will be planned.
It is suggested that those who wish to further honor the memory of Jerome Greenbaum may do so by making a contribution to Jewish Hospice & Chaplaincy Network (https://jhcn.org/donate/tribute).
