‘Fourth Amendment Litigation’ examined April 21

The State Appellate Defender Office and the Criminal Defense Resource Center will present the webinar “Fourth Amendment Litigation & Race in Youth Cases” on Tuesday, April 21, from noon to 1:30 p.m. via Zoom.

This training will equip attorneys, including those working with youth, to combine a race-conscious approach to search and seizure litigation with legally-relevant principles of adolescent development at suppression hearings to seek exclusion of evidence obtained in violation of their young adult client’s constitutional rights.

Speaking at the training will be NAACP Legal Defense and Education Fund’s Ashley M. Burrell, senior counsel; Molly Cain, assistant counsel, and Kacey Mordecai, senior counsel.
