In celebration of the United States of America’s 250th year of independence, the Sixth Judicial Circuit Court hosted a jury sticker contest for Oakland County school students in grades K-12.
Students were divided into three categories, elementary, middle, and high school. Nearly 200 entries have been received and are being logged by court staff for judging. One entry from each category will be chosen for three jury sticker designs.

Preliminary judging will began the week of April 20. Deputy Court Administrator Pamela Monville and court staff, Jennifer Edens, Ivy Ferguson, Colleen Glodich, Remele Penick, Jaylene Escobar, Liz Csizmadia, and Darcy Guzik will vote on finalists for the court’s jury sticker contest. Contest winners will be contacted during the week of May 4.

The court will invite the winners to the Oakland County Courthouse. Circuit Court judges, court staff, and other officials will formally recognize the winners at a ceremony. Winners and their families will tour the jury assembly room and be given an opportunity to view the jury trial process from juror selection through verdict.
