Limited scope representation rules were the topic of discussion at a seminar on Monday, Feb 11, hosted by the Macomb County Bar Association. Featured speakers included (left to right) Angela Tripp, co-chair of the State Bar of Michigan’s Affordable Legal Service, and Erica Butler, director of Michigan Legal Help and co-director of Michigan PLP LLC. The seminar, held in the jury room at the Macomb County Courthouse in Mount Clemens, focused on how the rules work and ways in which they help under-employed attorneys and over-burdened courts.
